Baseball Recap: Lyons Takes a Loss

Lyons might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Sacred Heart who claimed the real prize. The Lions came up short against the Knights, falling 14-4. The Lions have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lyons' loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Sacred Heart, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lyons will head out to face off against Pratt at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Frogs will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Sacred Heart, they are taking a road trip to challenge Republic County on the 20th.
