Basketball Recap: Rumson-Fair Haven Takes a Loss

Rumson-Fair Haven lost against Red Bank Catholic back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs were dealt a 74-31 defeat at the hands of the Red Bank Catholic Caseys. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.

Tessa Carman was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine boards for Red Bank Catholic. Carman has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Addy Nyemchek, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Rumson-Fair Haven dropped their record down to 4-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Red Bank Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rumson-Fair Haven has already played their next contest (against Red Bank Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Red Bank Catholic will face off against Holmdel at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
