Basketball Recap: Somerset Berkley Regional Takes a Loss

Somerset Berkley Regional lost against Bourne back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Somerset Berkley Regional Raiders took a blow against the Bourne Canalmen, falling 70-41. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-16.

Sarah Costa and Grace Kayata certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Costa almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards, while Kayata posted four points and five rebounds.

Somerset Berkley Regional now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Bourne, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset Berkley Regional will take on New Bedford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bourne, they will head out to face off against Apponequet Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
