Basketball Game Preview: Parkland Mustangs vs. Davie War Eagles

Parkland hasn't had much luck against Davie recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Parkland had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least 55 points, but Reagan put an end to it on Wednesday. Parkland was beaten by Reagan 66-30. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Davie's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Forsyth.

Parkland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Davie, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.

Parkland ended up a good deal behind Davie in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 59-45. Can Parkland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
