Baseball Recap: Copiah Academy Comes Up Short

Copiah Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Tri-County Academy Rebels. The Colonels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rebels from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Copiah Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Tri-County Academy, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Copiah Academy will take on Jackson Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Copiah Academy has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Tri-County Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clinton Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on April 8th.
