Baseball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Southwest Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in March.

MacArthur saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Richmond, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Richard Acuna was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

MacArthur dropped their record down to 11-16-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Southwest, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-2.

MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-8 victory against Jay on the 16th. As for Southwest, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-2 win against Harlandale on the 16th.
