Basketball Recap: O'dea Takes Down Ranked Eastside Catholic

On Monday, O'Dea faced Eastside Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The O'Dea Fighting Irish came out on top against the Eastside Catholic Crusaders by a score of 58-50. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-54 last Friday.

The win (which was O'Dea's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Eastside Catholic, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. O'Dea won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rainier Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
