Basketball Recap: North Chicago Takes a Loss

North Chicago lost against Lake Forest Academy back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The match between the North Chicago Warhawks and the Lake Forest Academy Caxys didn't end well, with the North Chicago Warhawks falling 68-51. While losing is never fun, the Warhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 507th, while the Caxys are ranked 84th).

North Chicago has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season. As for Lake Forest Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, North Chicago won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Round Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Chicago is facing Round Lake at the right time seeing as Round Lake is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lake Forest Academy, they will face off against Saint Viator at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
