Basketball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Tavares Bulldogs, falling 72-28. The matchup marked the Titans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tavares' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but IZAYIA WILLIAMS led the charge by going 6 for 8 en route to 14 points and three steals. AMARE WALKER was another key player, going 7 of 12 on his way to 15 points.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Tavares, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

University will venture away from home to face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tavares, they and Lyman will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tavares is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season.
