Basketball Recap: W.S. Neal Comes Up Short

W.S. Neal played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Jackson Aggies 55-7. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Aggies recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Angel Powell was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards for Jackson. Powell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalayzia Hunt, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 13 points and seven steals.

W.S. Neal's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Jackson, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

W.S. Neal will host Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson has already played their next contest (against Clarke County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
