Volleyball Recap: Whitmer Panthers vs. Northview Wildcats
After flying high against Toledo Christian last Monday, Whitmer came back down to earth. The Whitmer Panthers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The defeat continues a trend for them in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.
The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 29-27.
Northview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyra Ervin out in front who had nine digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Labudda, who had six digs and two aces.
Whitmer now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Northview, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitmer is on the road again on Thursday to play Southview at 6:30 p.m. As for Northview, they will square off against Clay at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Clay is coming into the game with four straight victories at home, so Northview will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
