Basketball Recap: Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Comes Up Short

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Neoga squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 57-40 to the Neoga Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 58-41 loss back in January.

Despite the loss, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City still got an impressive performance from Macee Rodman, who posted 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The contest was Rodman's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Avrie Vaughn was another key player, putting up seven points.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-21 record this season. As for Neoga, their win bumped their record up to 13-18.
