Soccer Game Preview: American Heritage vs. Norland

The American Heritage Patriots will face off against the Norland Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Norland will be up against a hot American Heritage team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. American Heritage's defense stepped up to hand Gulf Coast an 8-0 shutout on Saturday. Give the Patriots' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Gulf Coast from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. RACHEL KESSLER led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Norland walked away with it. They blew past the Mighty Dragons 3-0 on Thursday.

American Heritage's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. As for Norland, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
