Volleyball Recap: Erie Takes a Loss

Erie was the 2-0 winner over Paola when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Saturday. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lila Michael paced Erie's offense, picking up three kills. Michael got some help from Kaeleigh Daniels and her 12 assists. Finally, Michael was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Erie's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Paola, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Erie and Paola will both be playing Girard the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Trojans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Red Devils will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
