Hononegah blew Belvidere out of the water the last time the pair played, but  on Friday Belvidere got their revenge. The Indians fell just short of the Bucs by a score of  8-6. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Hononegah still got an impressive performance from   Tyler Banker, who rushed for 154 yards and one  TD. Banker has become a key player for the Indians: the team is 4-1 when he posts  at  least  80  rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

 Leading Belvidere to victory were  Demetrious Taborn and  Nic Alvarez.  Taborn picked up 153 receiving yards and one  score, while  Alvarez rushed for 88 yards. Taborn showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 61 yards.
Hononegah's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Belvidere,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 4-5.
 Coming up, Hononegah will take on Nazareth Academy at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Roadrunners have now posted at least 31  points  in their last four contests. Belvidere does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
