Recap: Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves vs. Kings Christian Crusaders
The Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 65-34 defeat at the hands of Kings Christian. Wonderful College Prep Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Despite the loss, Wonderful College Prep Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jose Morales-Martinez scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morales-Martinez has scored all season.
It was another big night for Ronnie Roche, who scored 31 points for Kings Christian. That makes it three consecutive games in which Roche has scored at least a third of Kings Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Elyas Miro, who scored 12 points.
Wonderful College Prep Academy bumped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Kings Christian, the victory (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.
Wonderful College Prep Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kings Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Caruthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
