Softball Recap: Central Magnet Takes a Loss

Central Magnet came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Marshall County Tigers, falling 15-2. The loss continues a trend for Central Magnet in their meetings with Marshall County: they've now lost five in a row.

Megan Weber made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central Magnet fell to 2-1. As for Marshall County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Magnet will take on LaVergne at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marshall County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Marshall County Tigers challenge Lawrence County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. They know how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Lawrence County like a good challenge.
