Basketball Recap: Hampton County Triumphs

After losing to Colleton County the last time they met, Hampton County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hampton County Hurricanes managed a 49-43 victory over the Colleton County Cougars on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

Hampton County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. As for Colleton County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Hampton County will finish 2024 at home by hosting Hilton Head Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Hilton Head Prep will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hampton County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Colleton County, they will venture away from home to take on Ridgeland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Colleton County is facing Ridgeland at the right time seeing as Ridgeland is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
