Softball Recap: Oak Hill Takes a Loss

After flying high against Glenmora last Tuesday, Oak Hill came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Monterey Wolves on Thursday, falling 17-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered since March 8th.

Sadie Fredieu was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Jodie Jowers was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Oak Hill has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Monterey, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-14.

Coming up, Oak Hill will venture away from home to take on Simpson at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Monterey, they will host Harrisonburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
