Baseball Recap: Kalamazoo Central Takes a Loss

Kalamazoo Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Williamston Hornets.

Adrian Vanderluen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gannon Deanda, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Kalamazoo Central's loss dropped their record down to 16-19. As for Williamston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 27-5.

Coincidentally, Kalamazoo Central and Williamston will both be playing Niles the next time they take the field. The Maroon Giants will host the Vikings at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
