Baseball Game Preview: Mooreville Troopers vs. Belmont Cardinals

For the second straight game, Mooreville will face off against Belmont. The Troopers will head out to take on the Cardinals at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mooreville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Belmont's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Mooreville came out on top against Belmont on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fifth inning. The Troopers blew past the Cardinals 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Troopers, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Belmont's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Pharr, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Belmont has also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Mooreville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.
