Volleyball Recap: Elberta Comes Up Short

Elberta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of West Point. If Elberta was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to West Point when the teams met back in October of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elberta's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for West Point, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Elberta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Baldwin County on the 30th. As for West Point, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Hillcrest on the 30th.
