Cade Ryan put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Wednesday. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because University Prep is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-12-1 otherwise.

Coming up, Ryan and University Prep will venture away from home to take on West Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Ryan had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest on Tuesday 9-1. Could another big game from him be enough to change the outcome this time?
