Basketball Recap: Seaside Skates Past Newport with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seaside). They blew past the Newport Cubs 67-37 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Seagulls have posted since December 14, 2023.

Seaside picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Newport, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Seaside will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Marist at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th. Newport has already played their next match, a 49-33 defeat against North Bend on the 16th.
