Volleyball Recap: Derby Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Derby had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dodge City Demons, sneaking past 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Among those leading the charge was Ella Ediger, who had 11 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last eight matchups.

Derby is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-18 record this season. As for Dodge City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-20 record this season.

Derby wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Manhattan on the 25th. Dodge City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
