Soccer Recap: Mountain Ridge's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Mountain Ridge was not quite Pinnacle's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the Pinnacle Pioneers by a score of 2-1. The Mountain Lions haven't had much luck with the Pioneers recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Mountain Ridge's goal came courtesy of Marlowe Dockter, who's now up to four this season.

Mountain Ridge's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2. As for Pinnacle, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Ridge will venture away from home to face off against O'Connor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6.5 goals per game this season. As for Pinnacle, they will head out on the road to square off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinnacle's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
