The Asotin Panthers will square off against the Pullman Greyhounds at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Asotin made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Colfax, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 10-8 on Monday.
Asotin got a big performance out of Avery Triplett, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Leilani Koehler was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one double.
Pullman came out on top against Rogers on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fourth inning. The Greyhounds blew past the Pirates 18-3. The result was nothing new for the Greyhounds, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Kinsey Rees made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Rees was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Taylor Cromie was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five stolen bases, and four runs. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Juliana Stewart, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Pullman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Asotin, they dropped their record down to 2-18 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
