Softball Game Preview: Minarets Mustangs vs. Madera South Stallions

The Minarets Mustangs will challenge the Madera South Stallions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Minarets is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Minarets lost 13-3 to Sierra on Friday.

Meanwhile, Madera South can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Roosevelt with a sharp 12-4 victory. The Stallions' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Xochil Miranda spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Allie Cervantes was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

Madera South's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Minarets, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
