Baseball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-5 to the Madison Blue Streaks. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Blue Streaks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Matt Wagner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Madison, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Lakeside will take on Grand Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Madison, they will square off against Harding at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Skippers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.07 runs per game on average), something the Blue Streaks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
