A Season-Best Effort from Kingston Keanaaina Leads Saint Francis over Junipero Serra

Saint Francis was led to victory by Kingston Keanaaina, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Keanaaina rushed for 323 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.

The victory (which was Saint Francis' third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Keanaaina and Saint Francis will square off against St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Legend Williams Delivers Best Performance of Season

Legend Williams produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory to the win on Saturday. Williams rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory is undefeated when Williams posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

Archbishop Mitty had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Williams it was a similar story. Williams rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry the last time he and the Monarchs duked it out back in September of 2023.

Sargent Came Up Big in Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's 35-28 Victory

Michael Sargent posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Saturday. He threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

On the year, Sargent has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 222.2 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 13.17 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 24.67 rushing yards.

Marcel Leggett and Co. Win Third in a Row

Marcel Leggett was instrumental in extending Valley Christian's winning streak to three on Friday. Leggett's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 115 rushing yards dating back to last season.

This season, Leggett has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 105.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had two rushing touchdowns.
