Recap: Whites Creek Cobras vs. KIPP Nashville Collegiate Warriors
The Whites Creek Cobras scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 83-54 victory over KIPP Nashville Collegiate. Whites Creek has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.
Leading Whites Creek to victory were Malachi Benton and Kevin Wiggins. Benton scored 18 points along with two steals, while Wiggins dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Wiggins scored 15 or more points. Noah Hughes was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Whites Creek pushed their record up to 15-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for KIPP Nashville Collegiate, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
Whites Creek will be playing at home against the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stratford is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for KIPP Nashville Collegiate, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Holloway comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
