Recap: Carver Tigers vs. Huntsville Panthers
The Carver Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Huntsville 63-24 at home. The win was just what Carver needed coming off of a 72-42 defeat in their prior match.
Among those leading the charge was Jazmin Thornton , who scored 20 points along with three steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Aubri Wilkins was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Carver's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Huntsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
Carver and Buford will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Buford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 628 points over their last nine contests. As for Huntsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grissom at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Grissom is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
