Recap: Penns Grove Red Devils vs. Woodstown Wolverines
After a string of three wins, The Penns Grove Red Devils''s good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 21-6 to Woodstown. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, Penns Grove couldn't push the score so high this time.
It was another big night for Bryce Belinfanti, who rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Belinfanti is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Woodstown's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Zachary Bevis and his two sacks.
Penns Grove now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Woodstown, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Penns Grove will head out on the road to face off against Florence Township Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Florence Township Memorial is ranked 183rd, while Penns Grove is ranked 162nd). As for Woodstown, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dunellen at 7:00 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Chiekezie Ogbuewu and Belinfanti.
