Volleyball Recap: St. John-Endicott Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If St. John-Endicott was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Waitsburg last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Colton Wildcats on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While St. John-Endicott had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 25-23.

Lily Barlass paced St. John-Endicott's offense, picking up seven kills. Barlass got some help from Sophie Anderson and her 23 assists. Catalina Torres controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

St. John-Endicott has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. Colton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-14.

Coming up, St. John-Endicott will challenge Dayton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colton, they will take on Rosalia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
