Football Recap: Columbian Comes Up Short

Columbian had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-3 to make it six. They were outmatched by the Bishop Watterson Eagles and fell 81-7. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Eagles are ranked sixth).

As for Bishop Watterson, their record is now 4-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 22 points or more this season.

Jack McCoy was his usual excellent self, rushing for 94 yards and two TDs on only eight carries. Dash Hoy was another key player, rushing for 78 yards and one touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbian will face off against Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tornadoes will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Bishop Watterson, they will square off against Harvest Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
