Blacksburg is a perfect 10-0 against Salem since June of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bruins will look to defend their home pitch against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

The final result isn't all that surprising considering Blacksburg's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Pulaski County are ranked 163rd).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Salem made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lord Botetourt on Wednesday. They blew past the Cavaliers 5-0. The victory continues a trend for Salem in their matchups with Lord Botetourt: they've now won four in a row.

Salem now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Blacksburg, their win bumped their record up to 9-1-1.
