Soccer Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Salem's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Landstown Eagles on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Salem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Landstown are ranked 50th).

Salem's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for Landstown, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Salem is set to challenge their familiar foe Bayside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Landstown will square off against rival Princess Anne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
