Volleyball Recap: Fairfield Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Fairfield lost against Edwards County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mules fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. While the Mules didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-20 in the first set.

Fairfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 27-25.

Jensyn Robbins paced Fairfield's offense, picking up 18 kills. Robbins got some help from Alexa Newman and her 12 assists.

Fairfield's defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-8. As for Edwards County, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-2.

Fairfield has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Eldorado on the 14th. As for Edwards County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hamilton County on the 16th.
