Volleyball Recap: Vincent Memorial Takes a Loss

Vincent Memorial suffered their biggest loss since October 24, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Calexico Bulldogs. The defeat continues a trend for the Scots in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-15.

Leading Calexico to victory were DANNA HERNANDEZ and EVALYN RUBIO. HERNANDEZ had 20 digs, while RUBIO hit 81.8% for ten kills and 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs HERNANDEZ has posted over her last two matches.

Vincent Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Calexico, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vincent Memorial will host Calipatria at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calexico, after both having extra time off, they and Palo Verde Valley will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
