Basketball Recap: Roswell Extends Winning Streak to Seven

While Roswell didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They claimed a resounding 63-36 win over the Belen Eagles. The Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Belen's loss on Thursday came despite strong showings from Alyssa Trujillo and Dani Bob. Trujillo posted six points and six boards, while Bob put up six points. Another player making a difference was Allie Wells, who earned seven points.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Roswell, bringing their record for this year to 8-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Belen, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Roswell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-43 win against Lovington on the 27th. As for Belen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-33 loss against Albuquerque Academy on the 27th.
