If Ware Shoals was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of McCormick last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ware Shoals Hornets lost 17-7 to the Abbeville Panthers on Tuesday. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Paisley Pelfrey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Ware Shoals' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Abbeville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ware Shoals will face off against Ninety Six at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ware Shoals has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Abbeville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calhoun Falls Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
