Basketball Recap: Payne Tech Starts off Right with Win over West Essex

Payne Tech had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past the West Essex Knights with a 55-51 win. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 57-53 loss the last time these two teams met.

Payne Tech will be home for the holidays to greet Glen Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Essex, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Newark Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
