Baseball Recap: Colmesneil Comes Up Short

Colmesneil was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Groveton Indians, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in March.

Colmesneil's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Groveton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Colmesneil will square off against rival Hemphill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Groveton is set to challenge their familiar foe West Sabine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
