Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Island Charter vs. Christ the King

The Mountain Island Charter Raptors will take on the Christ the King Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain Island Charter will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Mountain Island Charter proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by five) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Lincoln Charter 2-1.

Meanwhile, Christ the King kept a clean sheet against Langtree Charter Academy on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Lions. Considering Christ the King have won five contests by more than three goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Langtree Charter Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Addison Peirce led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Christ the King's win bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for Mountain Island Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Mountain Island Charter was able to grind out a solid win over Christ the King in their previous matchup back in March, winning 2-0. Will the Raptors repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
