Preview: Lathrop vs. Beyer
Lathrop is 10-0 in play against Beyer since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. Lathrop will be playing in front of their home fans against Beyer at 6:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lathrop has six straight wins, Beyer has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lathrop and Ceres combined for 13 shots on goal on Friday, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. Lathrop skirted past Ceres 3-2. That's two games straight that Lathrop has won by exactly a single goal.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Ociel Mora and
Angel Barajas, who scored.
Meanwhile, Beyer didn't get the result they wanted in their first matchup with Johansen on Wednesday. They will be looking for a result a little better than the 2-0 defeat they were dealt on Wednesday when they meet later in the season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly two goals.
Lathrop has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4-3 record this season. As for Beyer, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-12.
