Volleyball Recap: Garey Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Garey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sierra Vista Dons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Garey took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 16-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-13.

Garey's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Sierra Vista, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-18 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Garey is set to challenge their familiar foe Nogales at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sierra Vista will face off against rival Baldwin Park at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
