Baseball Recap: Pathfinder RVT Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

It's playoff time, and Pathfinder RVT had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Turners Falls Thunder 6-5. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thunder on Friday, too.

Pathfinder RVT saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zander Auffrey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave Auffrey a new career-high. Derek Rivera was another, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Pathfinder RVT's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8. As for Turners Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Pathfinder RVT will challenge Drury on Monday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. Turners Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
