Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Bourne

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bourne walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Tri-County RVT Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Canalmen as they're now sitting on four straight.

Bourne was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-16.

Avery Morrill was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Bourne was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 23 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Bourne's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Tri-County RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

As of now, neither Bourne nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
