Amherst waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Manawa Wolves 20-1. The matchup marked the Falcons' most dominant win of the season so far.

Ethan Peskie and Michael Glodowski were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Peskie pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Glodowski tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Peskie got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI, while Glodowski went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Peskie also put up two hits, which were his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on John Carlson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. Those runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sully Perkins, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Amherst always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .558. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Amherst's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Manawa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amherst will take on Weyauwega-Fremont at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manawa, they will face off against Omro at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
