Baseball Game Preview: Taylor Griffins vs. Grosse Ile Red Devils

Thursday just wasn't the day for Taylor's offense. They came up short against Woodhaven on Thursday, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that the Griffins have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grosse Ile, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Jefferson a 9-0 shutout on Wednesday. With that victory, the Red Devils brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Grosse Ile let Joe Keenan and Sam Weise run wild. Keenan went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Weise went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Weise is becoming a predictor of Grosse Ile's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-8 when he doesn't). Kolton Bodner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
